Marayoor – Untouched heavenly tourist spot
The unexplored Marayoor comparable to Munnar, the most sought after hill station has now become well known as the real beauty with adventure . Lush green tea estates, Occasional waterfalls, Sandalwood forest, Cool air, Caves depicting the wanderings of mythlogical characters 'Rama and Sita, Cave Paintings, Underground tunnels… All these make one to spend endless hours romancing with the nature.
Muniyaras, the stone coffins which date back to the Neolithic period, Rajiv Gandhi National Park are some of the interesting sights of this place apart from the sandalwood factory run by the Forest Department.
